Our offer
Extradition and Interpol
We represent individuals subject to extradition proceedings and handle criminal cases with a cross-border element. We analyze the basis for the extradition request, documents provided by the foreign state, the procedural status of the person sought, and circumstances that may argue against extradition. When action is required in multiple jurisdictions, we collaborate with foreign lawyers.
Areas of specialisation

Scope of services
The matter may begin with detention during a border check, an extradition request from a non-EU country, or the execution of a European Arrest Warrant. We represent the client in court and respond to motions regarding pre-trial detention or other preventive measures applied during the proceedings.
When assessing the admissibility of extradition, we analyze, among other factors, the conditions of detention in the requesting state, the risk of torture or inhuman or degrading treatment, the possibility of a death sentence, the health status of the person sought, and the risk of a flagrant violation of the right to a fair trial. We evaluate each of these arguments against the documentation and actual conditions in the state requesting extradition.
We also consider whether the criteria for lodging a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights are met.
In situations involving an imminent risk of irreparable harm, we also consider requesting an interim measure, which can halt extradition pending the resolution of the case.
An Interpol Red Notice can be significant in cross-border proceedings. It is not an international arrest warrant but rather a request addressed to the authorities of member states to locate and provisionally arrest an individual in connection with planned extradition or similar proceedings. Not all notices are publicly visible; information may also be transmitted via a “diffusion.”
In cases involving Interpol, we determine whether data concerning the individual is being processed in the system and analyze the basis for the wanted status. We assess the entry’s compliance with Interpol’s rules and prepare requests regarding data access, rectification, or deletion. We coordinate these actions with the defense strategy in the extradition proceedings, as the deletion or modification of data in the Interpol system does not replace the steps taken before the domestic court.
A Red Notice, a domestic arrest warrant, and extradition proceedings entail different legal consequences. We determine which of these instruments have been applied, which documents form the basis for the search, and before which authorities action must be taken.
